NOTE – I used the standard number of samples here since the bake time didn’t really matter. You only have to use 1 sample while baking diffuse passes, since Blender doesn’t have to calculate any lighting. You’ll get much faster bake times.
Procedural materials are great, but they often have an adverse effect on render times. In this video, I’ll show how to bake materials in Blender, and the difference it can make to render times, even on a simple scene.
