Bandit Down – Blender Cinematic Dogfight Animation Spitfire vs Bf 109

By Filip Ponczek

On July 2, 1941 Polish pilot Jan Zumbach from Squadron 303 shot down a German Bf 109 over Lille. This short CGI dogfight animation is inspired by this event. I created it completely by myself, from scratch in Blender 2.82 and Substance Painter, which I used for texturing the Spitfire and Bf 109 3D models. The entire project took me over 6 months to complete and I learned a lot of new things while working on it. The animation was rendered on Cycles render engine with 32 Samples and Denoiser. I hope You will like it!
