For some reason, I still get views on my Day in the Life of video from 8 years ago. Things have changed a lot since then, so I decided to create a 2020 Edition. Today, I play the role of Technical Environment Artist as well as Lead Instructor at Vertex School, and workflows have changed a lot with new tools available to us.
In this video, I’m chronicling some of the process for creating an asset for a scene I am working on. A little bit of ZBrush, a little bit of Substance Painter, some Maya, a touch of Houdini, and of course: Unreal Engine 4. Typical day on the days I’m not teaching.
